From the K Show Floor

Attending the K-Show for the first time was an eye-opening experience. The scale, diversity, and innovation showcased across every corner of the event reinforced how much opportunity there is for growth, collaboration, and advancement within our industry.”
Scott Elliott, Chief Revenue Officer, Amware

K brings together producers, compounders, converters, OEMs, and logistics partners who are pushing the plastics value chain forward. The conversations we’re having center on three themes:

  • Clean, accurate packaging that protects product integrity and supports lot traceability
  • Rail-to-truck transloading that keeps material moving despite capacity swings
  • Distribution warehousing that turns packaged product faster with fewer touches

That’s the intersection where Amware operates—and why we’re here.

Packaging Plastics & Polymers—Done Right

Amware packages a wide range of plastics and polymers—polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, PET, EVA, melamine, and more—across cartons, supersacks, drums, totes, and bags, built to your spec and customer requirements.

What differentiates our process

  • Clean, safe, contaminant-free handling
Step-by-step visual inspections and equipment cleanouts are standard. Dedicated transfer systems (stainless/aluminum components, dedicated hoses, rare-earth magnets) help keep product pure.
  • Precision & repeatability
Certified, calibrated scales underpin every move. Low-temperature, low-pressure conveying protects material integrity while delivering tight, repeatable fills.
  • Customization where you need it
We apply customer-specific labels and packaging variants so pallets leave our dock retail- or line-ready.

Rail to Road—Without the Handoff Headaches

When rail is the best inbound move and truck is the best outbound, the handoff can either keep you on schedule—or create delays. Amware’s rail-to-truck transloading is built for real-world speed and compliance:

  • High-capacity yard operations with a 200+ car capacity rail yard and on-site locomotive for timely switching, loading, and unloading
  • Dispatch terminal, two-bay truck wash, and certified truck scale with ticketing to streamline transfers
  • Connected reach via the Akron Barberton Cluster Railway, with direct interchange to CSX in Barberton and connections to NS, CN, and CFE via WLE in Akron—giving you flexible, nationwide options

Bring your own carrier or leverage ours—either way, you get a controllable, repeatable flow.

Distribution Warehousing That Finishes the Job

Packaging and transloading only matter if outbound hits the customer on spec and on time. Amware’s Distribution Warehousing ties the last steps together:

  • Modern facilities + WMS for inventory accuracy and real-time status
  • Palletization & labeling to customer standards (retail- or production-ready)
  • Order processing & routing that reduce touches and accelerate dock-to-door

For rate/route decisions, Amrate lets you compare LTL options (and include your preferred carriers if desired) to select the best service-to-cost path—without hopping between multiple systems.
